Ms. Fembot Event: Save the Date!

Please save the date for Ms. Magazine and the Fembot Collective’s Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon + Hack-a-Thon, sponsored by the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, the Fembot Collective, Ms. Magazine, and the University of Oregon’s Center for the Study of Women in Society.

On Friday, March 6th, we will be writing women into Wikipedia at Ms. Magazine’s office in Beverly Hills. On Saturday, March 7th, in memory of the Fembot Bot (Fembot Bot, designed at the first Fembot Hack-a-thon, auto-replied to sexist and racist hashtags and was shut down far too quickly by Twitter), we will join with coders, software designers, and others at the Annenberg School to build some awe-inspiring feminist tools.

Will it be possible for remote sites to join the Hack-a-thon?
